Job Duties

  • Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes including nigiri sashimi and rolls using fresh ingredients
  • Ensure that all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area including proper storage of ingredients and utensils
  • Utilize advanced knife skills for precise cutting and presentation of sushi components
  • Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to the management team
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques and food safety practices
  • Stay updated on culinary trends related to sushi and Japanese cuisine to enhance menu offerings
