Job Requirements
- minimum of 3 years experience in sushi preparation and kitchen operations
- proven leadership skills in culinary settings
- strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and food safety standards
- ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
- excellent communication and teamwork skills
- willingness to travel up to 25% for work assignments
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years in upscale sushi preparation and high-volume operations
- proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire culinary teams
- exceptional knife skills and deep knowledge of sushi techniques and HACCP standards
- high level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to guest satisfaction
- comfortable with Microsoft Office and reservation/order systems
- able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- ServSafe or Department of Health certification preferred
Job Duties
- Craft exceptional sushi by preparing and presenting high-quality sushi with attention to detail, flavor, and aesthetics
- lead the experience by owning the sushi station's setup, breakdown, and daily operations ensuring a seamless and engaging guest experience
- champion food safety by following HACCP guidelines and ensuring proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all perishable items
- inspire the team by training, mentoring, and motivating team members to uphold high standards of hospitality and professionalism
- collaborate with leadership by partnering with the Executive Chef to manage staff, implement company policies, and drive operational excellence
- innovate and elevate by staying current with culinary trends and bringing fresh ideas to enhance the sushi offerings and overall dining experience
