- Must successfully pass the companys sushi chef training program and cooking procedures
- Previous experience as sushi chef highly desirable
- Culinary degree a plus

Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival to the sushi bar or lounge area
- Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items using kitchen equipment including broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and provide information about food
- Ensure guests are satisfied with food quality and service
- Perform shift opening and closing duties including cleaning neta cases, cutting boards, equipment, and floors
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the sushi bar, kitchen areas, equipment, refrigeration units, and food storage
- Report any equipment or maintenance issues to the manager on duty and head sushi chef
- Adhere to company guidelines on food portioning, cooking methods, presentation, garnishes, and safety standards
- Handle ready to eat raw foods properly
- Store, label, and rotate foods in accordance with public health and safety laws
- Use knives and kitchen utensils to prepare food items
- Assist with preparation of sushi items and support sushi helpers as required
- Participate in ensuring guest special occasion celebrations are memorable
- Follow company guidelines on alcoholic beverage service
- Maintain a clean and neat appearance and use courteous manners with guests
- Immediately notify management when guests are not satisfied or if an accident occurs
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
