Job Requirements

  • Must successfully pass the Company’s sushi chef training program and cooking procedures
  • Previous experience as sushi chef highly desirable
  • Culinary degree a plus
  • Approved food handling training as required by local laws

Job Duties

  • Greets and welcomes guests upon arrival to the sushi bar/lounge area
  • May be responsible for the preparation of a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking using a variety of kitchen equipment including broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers
  • Responds promptly and courteously to guest requests and provides guests with information about food
  • Ensures guests are satisfied with food quality and service
  • Performs shift opening and closing duties including cleaning the neta cases, cutting boards, equipment, and floors
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, cooking areas, sushi counters, kitchen equipment, refrigeration units and food storage areas
  • Reports kitchen/sushi equipment or maintenance issues to the manager on duty and head sushi chef
