Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a Sushi Cook or in a higher culinary position
  • Possession of a valid Food Handler Card
  • Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
  • Valid documentation to work legally in the U.S.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as a Sushi Cook or higher
  • Ability to maintain and follow recipes, processes and standards
  • Possession of valid Food Handler Card
  • Valid documentation of right to work in the U.S.
  • Drive and ambition with a desire to learn and grow within the team
  • Full ownership of role

Job Duties

  • Maintain food quality and standards ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Maintain standards of safety and sanitation throughout the kitchen
  • Follow recipes in line with SUSHI SAMBA standards
  • Comply with company procedures, recipes and presentation to maximizing productivity and profitability
  • Execute dishes in a timely and efficient manner to meet and exceed guest expectations
  • Liaise with restaurant manager and service staff regarding service issues
