Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- One to two years of casino surveillance experience or related practical equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of casino operations and related cheating scams
- Proficiency with video surveillance and database software
- Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Knowledge of relevant gaming laws and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and organizational abilities
- High energy and proactive problem-solving skills
- Effective conflict resolution and diplomacy skills
- Report writing and presentation capabilities
- Familiarity with Surveillance operations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university
- One to two years of casino surveillance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Thorough knowledge of casino operations, games, cheating, and embezzlement scams
- Comprehensive knowledge of video surveillance systems and database software
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency and literacy in English
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local gaming regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain high energy levels and take a proactive strategic approach to issues
- Strong conflict resolution and diplomatic interaction skills
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information to various stakeholders
- Knowledge of all Surveillance operations
- Ability to work collaboratively across all organizational levels
Job Duties
- Supervising staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift in the Surveillance department
- Supporting, administering, and managing operational goals and monitoring achievements of performance and profit objectives
- Creating effective and efficient schedules while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives, and ensuring overall coverage mandated by gaming regulations
- Assisting in the budget process for the department by providing recommendations
- Ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives
- Reporting budget concerns to manager
- Enthusiastically supporting, actively promoting, and demonstrating superior customer service in accordance with departmental and company standards and programs
- Maintaining knowledge and ensuring enforcement of all gaming laws and regulations applicable to Surveillance duties
- Designing and conducting sensitive investigations with other property departments
- Acting as direct liaison between Surveillance Room activities and leadership
- Participating in the hiring process and making staffing recommendations
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal controls, policies, and procedures
- Safeguarding company assets
- Submitting reports on incidents, infractions, and violations
- Examining and analyzing processes to enforce compliance policies
- Serving as liaison with gaming regulators and law enforcement
- Reviewing financial reports for operation efficiency
- Overseeing attendance and time record management
- Maintaining strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters
