Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- currently enrolled in an accredited surgical technology program
- successfully completed all clinical training as defined by the accredited surgical technology program or completion of in-classroom training of the first semester of an accredited surgical tech program
- basic life support (BLS) certification
- actively maintaining enrollment in the surgical technology school program
- ability to work efficiently in a dynamic operating room environment
- ability to follow aseptic techniques and safety guidelines

Job Duties
- Provide intraoperative care to patients during operative procedures
- assist the surgical team during operative procedures
- aid other members of the OR team in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care duties including transport of patients
- assist in patient positioning, supply readiness and location
- provide terminal cleaning and between case preparation
- facilitate a smooth and efficient transition between surgical procedures
- maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to aseptic principles and technique
- participate in performance improvement initiatives
