Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • CPR certification must be obtained within three months of hire
  • ability to work evening shift Sunday through Thursday 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, reach with arms, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • adherence to safety and hospital standards
  • willingness to wear personal protective equipment when required
  • physical ability to perform duties in a hospital setting

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • CPR certification obtained within three months of hire
  • positive working relationship skills with department managers, staff and physicians
  • organizational skills and ability to manage time wisely
  • productive during downtime
  • ability to operate operating room equipment such as beds and hamper stands
  • knowledge of safety practices in sterile environments

Job Duties

  • Adheres to hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment
  • cleans operating room suites during turnover and performs daily terminal cleaning with documentation
  • maintains clean hallways and general housekeeping
  • transports patients and equipment to operating rooms
  • ensures proper supply levels of gases, linens, and cleaning supplies
  • performs daily documentation of blanket warmer temperatures
  • assists with equipment inventory and cleans PPE carts according to safety protocols
