Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work specified hours
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-3 years scheduling experience or related experience and/or training
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
  • Capacity to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
  • Ability to perform each essential job function satisfactorily
  • Willingness to comply with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of hospital policies and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Schedules surgical procedures as requested according to established guidelines maintaining the highest level of efficiency
  • Facilitates in coordinating a plan of care for patients with various departments throughout the hospital and clinics
  • Performs receptionist duties dealing with the general public and medical personnel
  • Answers and addresses phone calls and messages routing/involving other appropriate individuals as needed
  • Obtains, formulates, sorts, distributes, and files documents and correspondence as directed
