Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- bachelor’s degree preferred
- minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- some experience in implementing and monitoring food service policies and procedures
- experience supervising teams and resources
- strong knowledge of food service regulations and standards
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification or ANSI-approved certification within six months of hire
- ability to supervise staff and manage food service operations
- excellent communication and leadership skills
- physical capability to handle job demands including lifting up to 35 pounds
- ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- compliance with safety and health regulations
- availability to work 1:00 pm - 9:30 pm Monday to Friday with alternating weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- experience implementing and monitoring food services policies, procedures, and programs
- experience supervising teams, resources, and timelines
- strong understanding of food services regulations, laws, and standards
- proven performance in previous roles
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager or ANSI-approved certification within 6 months of hire
- ability to plan workload and give clear instructions
- experience in providing feedback and conducting evaluations
- coaching and supporting team member development
- knowledge of foodservice operations tools and methodologies
- understanding of institutional and departmental safety policies
- ability to handle technical issues and escalate when necessary
- physical fitness to work in a stressful environment
- experience leading team meetings and effective communication
- proficiency in digital communication tools
- problem-solving and data analysis skills
- customer engagement and service recovery experience
Job Duties
- Supervise staff in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures
- ensure high quality of food production, efficient service, and excellent sanitation
- interact with key stakeholders to assist in production planning and waste reduction
- manage daily, weekly, and monthly reports and assist with cost reduction programs
- research new techniques and stay updated with food service industry trends
- lead and supervise teams, train, mentor, and guide team members
- exhibit empathy and professionalism in all interactions
- communicate clearly and efficiently with team members
- supervise daily duties of area staff, verify task sheets, break schedules, and timekeeping
- provide fast and efficient service recovery of guest comments
- ensure assigned staff attend all training and education sessions
- complete safety and compliance inspections
- perform other duties as assigned
- maintain regular and predictable attendance
