Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- experience implementing and monitoring food services policies, procedures, and programs
- experience supervising teams, resources, and timelines
- strong understanding of food services regulations, laws, and standards
- proven performance in earlier roles
- ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification or equivalent within six months of hire
- ability to plan workload and give clear directions
- ability to review work and provide feedback and evaluations
- coaching and development skills
- knowledge of food service processes, tools, and methodologies
- understanding of administrative and safety policies
- ability to manage technical issues and escalate as needed

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Supervise staff in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures
- ensure high quality of food, efficient production and service, including excellent sanitation in compliance with departmental sanitation standards
- interact with key stakeholders such as Retail Manager and Executive Chef to assist in production planning and waste reduction
- manage daily, weekly, and/or monthly reports and assist with cost reduction programs
- research new techniques to improve food services
- lead and supervise teams, train, mentor, and guide team members
- exhibit empathy and professionalism in interactions with patients, staff, and guests
- communicate clearly and efficiently to ensure excellent customer service
- supervise daily duties of area staff including verifying task sheets, break schedules, and timekeeping
- provide fast and efficient service recovery for guest comments
- ensure assigned staff attend all training and education sessions
- complete routine safety and compliance inspections
- perform other duties as assigned to meet department and institutional goals
- maintain regular and predictable attendance
