Job Requirements

  • Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification within 90 days of hire
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Some food service experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills required
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation
  • Ability to follow directions and recipes
  • Participate in ongoing education classes

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Some food service experience preferred, preferably in a high volume healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills with problem-solving ability
  • Knowledgeable of food preparation, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Familiarity with cooking methods, procedures, and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to follow verbal, written, and electronic instructions and recipes

Job Duties

  • Oversee all food service operations including food preparation, storage, and delivery
  • Manage lounges, dining areas, sanitation, ordering, and scheduling
  • Coordinate patient meal services and call center operations
  • Coach, train, and discipline food service employees
  • Ensure compliance with Huntsville Hospital and regulatory standards for food safety and sanitation
  • Monitor and apply cooking methods and kitchen equipment procedures
  • Attend ongoing education classes for professional development
