Job Requirements

  • Associates degree or four years of directly related work experience
  • valid Food Manager Certification or ServSafe certification
  • one year supervisory or group lead experience in food and nutrition
  • technical competence in food service, food handling, or nutrition
  • ability to conduct audits and implement corrective actions
  • compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
  • proficiency in communication and team leadership

Job Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • technical competence in food service, food handling, or nutrition
  • valid Food Manager Certification from a Florida Department of Health approved provider or ServSafe certification from the National Restaurant Association
  • minimum one year supervisory or group lead experience in Food and Nutrition
  • good communication and listening skills
  • ability to coach and counsel associates
  • knowledge of safety and infection control practices
  • ability to manage human resource functions

Job Duties

  • Monitor the daily operations of patients and team members work flow
  • directly supervise food and nutrition team members
  • assist in controlling expenses within area of responsibility
  • assist the Manager of Support Services or Operations Manager in attaining the financial goals for area
  • ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports, financial data and statistics
  • maintain proper productivity and staffing appropriate to area
  • conduct daily rounds, sign inspection reports, and respond promptly to service or customer requests
