Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work seasonally from April to September
  • availability to work part-time hours including nights, weekends and event days
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
  • adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
  • physical capability to handle foodservice equipment and perform cleaning tasks
  • willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in foodservice or culinary roles preferred
  • leadership or supervisory experience is an asset
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • knowledge of food safety regulations including HACCP guidelines
  • ability to train and motivate associates
  • basic math skills for inventory and portion control
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • train employees
  • plan, assign and direct work
  • appraise performance
  • reward and discipline associates
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • advise management of purchasing requirements with focus on minimizing waste and avoiding product shortages
  • use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • operate and clean equipment in accordance with department procedures
  • store, label and date food items according to policy
  • maintain established food rotations to minimize spoilage and waste
  • follow HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply
  • operate food-service equipment safely
  • help serve meals
  • remain present during scheduled meal periods to receive customer feedback
  • perform other duties as assigned
