Job Requirements

  • Level 4 Gaming License
  • Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Four to six years related experience and/or training
  • Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small, and large group settings
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret policy and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write effective reports and memos
  • Ability to respond promptly to guest complaints and inquiries
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, run, sit, talk, hear and use hands regularly
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to identify safety and security hazards
  • Ability to maintain accuracy of departmental records and inventories
  • Ability to work in a moderate noise level and smoky casino environment

Job Qualifications

  • Four-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Four to six years related experience and/or training
  • Proven supervisory experience in hospitality or related fields
  • Possession of a Level 4 Gaming License
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to interpret policy and write reports
  • Ability to apply analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
  • Knowledge of inventory and retail operations
  • Understanding of safety and security protocols

Job Duties

  • Plans and directs daily operations of transportation, wardrobe and retail divisions on assigned shifts
  • Maintains appropriate staffing levels by selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting, disciplining and terminating employees
  • Operates parking and retrieves guest vehicles as needed
  • Oversees cost-efficiency, staffing and uniform standards of employees
  • Maintains knowledge of facilities and special events to advise guests and employees
  • Makes suggestions for improvements to policies and procedures
  • Ensures maximum level of guest service and satisfaction
  • Facilitates information flow through departmental meetings
  • Maintains accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports
  • Acts as a representative of the hotel, interacting professionally with guests and employees
  • Responds to guest complaints and inquiries promptly
  • Patrols retail, wardrobe and valet areas for safety and security hazards
  • Ensures cleanliness and proper merchandising in gift shops and retail outlets
  • Assists guests with merchandise selection and purchases
  • Controls garment data input into uniform distribution system
  • Receives and verifies merchandise shipments
  • Maintains orderly stock room and manages returned, damaged and discarded merchandise
  • Supervises monthly inventories
  • Maintains accurate computer and paper file records
  • Assists with projects and general daily support services activities
  • Promotes a positive and respectful work environment among employees
