Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Greet visitors and clients with a friendly smile
  • answer incoming calls at NFJC and transfer to appropriate parties
  • direct and assist all those who enter the NFJC building and monitor those in the lobby
  • monitor and oversee the children’s play center when children are present
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the front lobby and all rooms
  • know the safety protocol for emergency situations
  • unlock the front door at the beginning of the workday and lock the front door at the end of the workday
  • ensure the front lobby door past bulletproof glass is always closed
  • conduct initial screening to assess the client’s needs including intake, risk assessment, safety planning and refer clients to appropriate partners
  • input client data in the CARENET system
  • assist with administrative duties as needed
  • provide direct advocacy and support to adult and child victims including non-offending caregivers of child victims
  • conduct psychosocial assessments with non-offending caregivers and provide resources and information regarding child abuse during forensic interviews
  • meet with MDT members prior to and following forensic interviews to share relevant information
  • meet with a child following the forensic interview to conduct check-ins and trauma and suicide screenings
  • pursue ongoing training and opportunities related to trauma and impact on victims
  • attend meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions to stay current
  • maintain ongoing interaction with the supervisor
  • ensure all services align with the agency's mission and goals
  • adhere to all NFJC policies, procedures, and safety protocols
  • perform duties as assigned by the Executive Director
  • keep supervisor informed of work progress and problems
  • collaborate and maintain positive relationships with community members and partner agencies
  • respond courteously and timely to questions and comments
  • communicate and coordinate with appropriate others to maximize effectiveness
  • be punctual and meet attendance standards
  • communicate clearly and professionally
