Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or environmental services
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Ability to work evening shifts and rotating weekends and holidays
- Must know how to use common housecleaning implements such as mops, floor waxes and scouring pads

- Previous experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions effectively
- Good communication skills
- Physically able to perform duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work evening shifts and rotating weekends and holidays
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Basic proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and hygiene protocols
Job Duties
- Dust, damp mop, spot clean and disinfect fixtures, furnishings in both patient and non-patient areas
- Vacuum and spot clean mats and carpets, as assigned
- Empty, clean and re-line waste baskets
- transport regular and contaminated waste/linen to the utility room or proper areas
- Wash and disinfect the bed/crib at discharge and prepare the bed for the new occupant
- Follow isolation cleaning procedures when cleaning isolation rooms to prevent the spread of pathogens
- Clean and disinfect daily bathroom fixtures, mirrors, windows, doors, walls (as far as can be reached) and replenish bathroom supplies if necessary
- Notifies supervisor when supplies in the Environmental Services storage room are low
- report work orders when repairs are needed in assigned areas
- Maintains tools and equipment in good condition, is responsible for economical use of supplies
- Mechanical aptitude to operate machines and equipment may include hard floor surface maintenance, e.g. striping, refinishing, burnishing and shampooing carpets
- Delivers clean linen throughout the facility
- Enhances professional growth and development by attending in-service, required meetings and other educational programs
