Job Requirements
- typically, 8+ years of progressive supply chain experience including 4+ years of management experience
- working knowledge of commodity, category and sourcing management
- understanding of manufacturing timelines and requirements
- ability to read and understand technical requirements
- excellent negotiation skills
- supply chain management skills
- ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- candidates based in Dayton, OH office willing to travel 5-10%
- candidates based in Lone Tree, CO office willing to travel one week per month
Job Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive supply chain experience including 4+ years of management experience
- in-depth knowledge of commodity, category and sourcing management
- background in manufacturing timelines and requirements
- ability to read and understand technical requirements
- excellent negotiation skills
- supply chain management skills
- ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance
- experience supporting government contracts
- working knowledge of FAR and DFARS compliance
- background in aerospace and defense industry
- higher education may substitute for experience
Job Duties
- lead a team of buyers, subcontracts management specialists and category leads to define, develop and improve the supply base
- establish priorities to maintain production schedules to support program milestones and delivery requirements
- coordinate with executive management, program management and other department managers to support material, planning and production objectives
- prepare capital, contract equipment and facility requests based on program demands
- drive supply chain innovation and efficiency by partnering with departments
- act as supply chain liaison collaborating with operations, planning and logistics groups
- lead negotiation efforts for major contracts and manage department performance
