Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles
  • Proficiency in negotiating contracts and managing suppliers
  • Familiarity with USDA and FDA manufacturing processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in procurement and supply chain leadership

Job Duties

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies that support business objectives and drive cost savings
  • Direct and participate in procurement and logistics activities ensuring operational efficiency and timely delivery
  • Source, quote, negotiate, purchase, and execute contracts across USDA manufacturing, FDA manufacturing, and restaurant divisions
  • Complete supplier program negotiations including rebate programs, volume programs, pricing strategies, and promotional items
  • Identify and develop strategic supply sources for products, packaging, and commodities
  • Monitor commodity trends to deliver improved cost of goods
  • Conduct inventory management and place purchase orders to ensure production supply
  • Monitor ingredient prices and make price recommendations
  • Manage compliance program including audits and issue resolution
  • Build and maintain healthy supplier relationships
  • Research deals including alternative products and bundling opportunities to gain negotiating leverage
  • Develop and maintain supplier improvement plans in quality, delivery, and cost
  • Resolve supplier issues during contract periods
  • Take action on profitability research to ensure a profitable business
