Job Requirements
- Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements
- Successful completion of background investigation

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in general recreation or related field
- Specialized experience related to sports and aquatics program management
- Knowledge of Navy's Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Program objectives
- Skill in conflict resolution during active sporting events
- Understanding of Equal Employment Opportunity Program and Affirmative Action Plans
- Personnel management skills including recruitment and training
- Planning and leadership skills for recreation program development
- Budget planning and fiscal management experience
- Ability to promote programs through media and public relations
- Experience coordinating multiple recreation programs
Job Duties
- Manage comprehensive intramural sports and aquatics programs
- Plan, supervise, and administer year-round sports competitions and activities
- Conduct clinics and train coaches, officials, and participants
- Recruit, hire, train, and motivate staff
- Enforce safety regulations and maintain facility safety
- Develop and adapt swimming programs and related activities
- Prepare and justify annual operating budgets
- Evaluate recreational needs and modify programs
- Coordinate with other recreational facility managers
- Resolve complaints from patrons and solicit feedback
- Ensure fiscal accountability and internal controls
- Solicit volunteer support and ensure compliance
- Perform related duties as assigned
