Job Requirements

  • Complete a background investigation with favorable results
  • Subject to random drug testing
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Successfully complete a physical examination
  • Flexible to work shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be U.S. citizen or U.S. National with three or more consecutive years residency in U.S. territory
  • Register for Selective Service if male born after 12/31/1959
  • Provide REAL ID or authorized identity documents for installation access
  • Satisfactorily complete E-Verify employment verification
  • Willingness to work uncommon tours of duty
  • Ability to provide proof of eligibility
  • Comply with all hiring preference and priority consideration restrictions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years specialized experience in recreational rental, resale, and programming
  • Knowledge of Non-Appropriated Fund budgeting and capital improvement planning
  • Skills in personnel management and supervision
  • Competencies in core recreation activities such as camping, hiking, biking, kayaking, scuba, and recreational water sports
  • Current nationally recognized CPR, AED, and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Experience with program management and customer service
  • Ability to oversee equipment inventory and maintenance
  • Familiarity with federal and military standards and compliance

Job Duties

  • Assist the Leisure and Recreation Program Manager in planning, developing, organizing, and supervising outdoor recreation programs
  • Manage day-to-day operations of equipment loan, rental, and resale outlets
  • Design and maintain resale operations to enhance customer satisfaction and participation
  • Serve as ODR Program Manager in the manager's absence
  • Provide management oversight of the Auto Hobby program including fleet maintenance
  • Supervise staff, including interviewing, training, evaluating performance, and providing feedback
  • Conduct weekly inspections of facilities and equipment, documenting discrepancies
  • Ensure facility and equipment maintenance programs are implemented
  • Manage point of sale functions and administrative duties including NAF and APF purchasing systems
  • Conduct customer surveys and assist in budgeting and capital improvement planning
  • Monitor compliance with Air Force and Department of Defense standards
