Job Description

This position is located at Naval Station Norfolk in Norfolk, Virginia, a key location for the United States Navy and home to one of the largest naval bases in the world. The Naval Station Norfolk provides a range of support services for military personnel and their families, including Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) programs designed to enhance quality of life and promote well-being. Job Requirements

  • Two years or more of experience in a bowling center and/or bowling related programs
  • knowledge of military MWR and/or NAF policies and procedures preferred
  • ability to deal effectively with subordinates, supervisory and management officials and patrons
  • ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
  • basic understanding of budgeting and activity level financial management
  • ability to operate a personal computer and perform basic word processing and spreadsheet tasks using Microsoft and bowling specific software

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manage daily operations of the bowling center
  • superintend and schedule staff activities
  • ensure compliance with MWR and NAF policies
  • maintain a clean and safe facility environment
  • develop and coordinate bowling programs and events
  • prepare and manage budget reports
  • communicate effectively with patrons, staff, and supervisory personnel
