Job Requirements

  • Must have held a FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters positions for at least 1 year
  • Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year at an Air Traffic Services facility
  • Must have held an MSS position for at least 1 year in an ATS facility
  • Education cannot be substituted
  • Must meet qualifications by the closing date of the announcement
  • Must provide explanation of managerial workforce planning selection factors in the application

Job Qualifications

  • Must have held a FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters positions for at least 1 year
  • Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year at an Air Traffic Services facility
  • Must have held an MSS position for at least 1 year in an ATS facility with MSS-2 or above for a minimum of 1 year
  • Ability to effectively plan and direct traffic management initiatives
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and air traffic control procedures

Job Duties

  • Plan and direct traffic management initiatives at the terminal or en route facility
  • Coordinate multiple support activities to achieve traffic management objectives
  • Monitor air traffic flow and implement solutions to reduce congestion
  • Collaborate with air traffic controllers and other stakeholders to optimize traffic movement
  • Analyze operational data to anticipate and mitigate potential traffic disruptions
  • Manage communication with relevant FAA departments to align traffic management strategies
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and safety standards
