Job Requirements
- Must have held FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters positions for at least 1 year
- Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year in an ATS facility
- MSS position held for at least 1 year if applying under MSS criteria
- Must address FAA Managerial Workforce Planning Dimensions 1 through 4 in application
- Education cannot be substituted
- Qualifications must be met by closing date
Job Qualifications
- Must have held a FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year
- Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year at an Air Traffic Services facility
- Holding an MSS position for at least 1 year in an ATS facility is acceptable if MSS-2 level or above
- Familiarity with FAA Managerial Workforce Planning Selection Factors, Dimensions 1 through 4
- Ability to provide explanations addressing MWP Selection Factors in the application package
Job Duties
- Plan and direct traffic management initiatives in the facility
- Plan and direct multiple support activities for the facility to accomplish traffic management objectives
- Analyze traffic data and predict potential operational issues
- Coordinate with adjacent facilities and aviation stakeholders
- Manage real-time traffic flows to optimize airspace use
- Respond to and mitigate impacts of operational disruptions
- Support the achievement of traffic management objectives through strategic planning
