Job Requirements
- Education may not be substituted for experience
- Meet one of the qualification pathways including FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above experience or facility rated/area certified experience or MSS supervisory experience
- Provide documentation supporting FAA managerial selection factors
- Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
- Meet all qualifications by the closing date of the announcement
Job Qualifications
- Held a FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least one year
- Been facility rated or area certified for at least one year at an Air Traffic Services facility
- Held a supervisor MSS position for at least one year in an ATS facility
- Knowledge of FAA Managerial Workforce Planning Selection Factors
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Job Duties
- Plan and direct operations within delegated areas of responsibility
- Provide first line supervision to a team of Developmental and Certified Professional Controllers
- Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and operational standards
- Coordinate resources to maintain efficient air traffic flow
- Evaluate and provide feedback on controller performance
- Implement safety protocols and manage emergency response procedures
- Support training and development initiatives for controllers
