Job Requirements
- US citizenship is required
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959
- Must submit an SF50 form
- May be subject to a background investigation
- One-year probationary period may be required
- May be required to file a financial disclosure statement within 30 days of entry on duty
- Position may be a Career Enhancement Assignment/Career Progression with pay retention eligibility

Job Qualifications
- Must have held a FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year
- Or must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year at an Air Traffic Services facility
- Or must have held a MSS position for at least 1 year in an ATS facility and have held an MSS-2 or above position for at least 1 year
- Must meet qualifications by closing date of announcement
- Must address FAA Managerial Workforce Planning Selection Factors Dimensions 1-4 in application
- Education cannot be substituted for experience
Job Duties
- Directs a highly technical workforce providing air traffic control services or tactical and strategic support
- Provides training, coaching, and guidance to subordinates and facilitates team building
- Integrates support resources with operational needs to maintain effective air traffic control service
- Assigns and reviews work, plans priorities and schedules, approves leave, evaluates performance, and manages workforce issues
- Makes decisions on work problems, resolves grievances, effects disciplinary actions, and recommends selections, transfers, and awards
- Communicates and reinforces diversity and EEO policies and fosters a fair work environment
- Meets and collaborates with internal and external customers including management, union representatives, and aviation industry stakeholders
