The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is responsible for ensuring the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of air traffic control services across the United States. Job Requirements

  • Must have held an FAA 2152 FG-14/FV-J or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year
  • Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year in an ATS facility
  • Must have held a MSS position or above for at least 1 year in an ATS facility
  • For MSS-4 position, must have held MSS-3 or above or an FG-2152-14 or above Regional or Headquarters position for 1 year
  • No positive education requirement

Job Duties

  • Oversee air traffic operations at Seattle ARTCC
  • Manage and coordinate teams of air traffic controllers

  • Facilitate communication between sectors and with external agencies
  • Implement strategic planning for air traffic control services
  • Handle operational challenges and emergency situations
