Job Requirements

  • Must hold specialized experience as defined by the FAA
  • Must meet qualifications by the closing date of the announcement
  • Must have at least 1 year of relevant experience in FAA or air traffic services roles
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
  • Must be able to lead and manage diverse teams effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Must have held an FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year
  • OR must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year at an air traffic services facility
  • OR must have held a MSS position for at least 1 year in an air traffic services facility
  • Must have held an MSS-3 or MSS-4 or FAA 2152 FG-14 or above regional or headquarters positions for at least 1 year
  • Knowledge of FAA regulations and air traffic control procedures
  • Proven leadership and management experience in air traffic services

Job Duties

  • Plan and direct all activities at the terminal air traffic facility
  • Manage air traffic control operations to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Coordinate with FAA regional offices and headquarters on policy and procedural matters
  • Supervise and lead a team of air traffic controllers and support staff
  • Implement and enforce compliance with federal air traffic regulations
  • Monitor and analyze facility performance and operational issues
  • Facilitate training, development, and performance evaluations for staff
