Job Requirements

  • Must have held an FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least one year
  • must have been facility rated or area certified for at least one year at an ATS facility
  • must have held MSS position for at least one year in an ATS facility
  • must have held MSS-2 or above position for a minimum of one year
  • specialized experience and qualifications met by closing date of vacancy announcement
  • no narrative response required for KSAs
  • include specific examples in work history
  • eligibility for further evaluation based on Leadership and Management Dimensions
  • meet FAA Managerial Workforce Planning WP-10.1 criteria

Job Qualifications

  • Held FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least one year
  • facility rated or area certified in an ATS facility for at least one year
  • held MSS position for at least one year in an ATS facility
  • held MSS-2 or above position for a minimum of one year
  • demonstrated specialized experience in air traffic services
  • leadership and management experience
  • knowledge of FAA operational protocols

Job Duties

  • Plan and direct operations in terminal or en route facility
  • plan and direct multiple support activities such as training, quality assurance, and traffic management
  • manage airspace and procedural design
  • oversee facility plans and programs
  • coordinate with cross-functional teams
  • ensure compliance with FAA safety standards
  • support facility program areas
