Job Requirements
- Specialized experience as defined by the FAA
- Hold FAA 2152 FV-J or FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for 1 year or facility rated or area certified for 1 year at an ATS facility or held MSS position for 1 year in an ATS facility
- Ability to meet qualifications by the closing date of the announcement
- Willingness to work in a terminal or en route facility setting
- Capacity to provide first line supervision to air traffic controllers
- Commitment to maintaining high safety and operational standards
Job Qualifications
- Must have held an FAA 2152 FV-J or FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year
- Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year at an ATS facility
- Must have held a MSS position for at least 1 year in an ATS facility
- Demonstrated experience in supervision and leadership within air traffic services
- Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and air traffic control operations
- Effective communication and decision-making skills
Job Duties
- Plan and direct operations within delegated areas of responsibility
- Provide first line supervision to a team of Developmental and Certified Professional Controllers
- Ensure adherence to FAA safety and operational standards
- Coordinate operational activities to maintain efficient air traffic flow
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of air traffic controllers
- Implement policies and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness
- Resolve operational issues and manage resource allocation
