Job Requirements

Must be willing and able to work weekends and non-standard work-week hours, high school diploma or equivalency certificate, associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality or transportation industries in lieu of degree, stand up to 6 hours per day, sit up to 3 hours per day, push/pull up to 50lbs unassisted 1-2 hours per day, overhead reach up to 1 hour per day, walk up to 3 hours per day, lift/carry up to 25lbs unassisted 1-2 hours per day, climb ladder or stairs up to 1 hour per day, kneel or crouch up to 1 hour per day, upper body twist up to 1 hour per day, ability to work in temperatures over 80 degrees up to 1 hour per day, candidate must be capable of safely performing physical requirements as listed and may require pre-employment physical or questionnaire, compliance with ITAR requirements including U.S. citizenship or eligible status

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency certificate, associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality or 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality or transportation industries in lieu of degree, advanced knowledge of customer service and problem resolution, excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience in a corporate environment, proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook, ability to organize work for large groups in various service formats, strong time management skills, experience with high volume and complex multidisciplinary operations, experience leading groups of 10 or more staff members, ability to create and update RFPOs and facilities work orders in ERP software, effective teamwork skills, ability to make independent judgments with limited information, communication skills for relaying data verbally and in writing, logical and strategic problem solving abilities, ability to work in high-stress environment and adapt to abrupt changes

Job Duties

Lead operation of off-site shuttles including vans and charter buses, lead on-site shuttle service and Tesla rental program, manage hovercraft commuter operations and bike share programs, train staff on driver safety practices and customer service, support strategic analysis to improve transportation and parking efficiency, recommend and support development of internal transportation policies and procedures, lead customer relations and oversee service issue resolution, manage communication of transportation system changes to stakeholders, execute data gathering and analysis for decision making, interface with internal stakeholders to align transportation goals, create and maintain in-person and online training materials, monitor financial activities and optimize operating costs, supervise performance of Spaceport Operations staff
