Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended state driver’s license
- ability to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags weighing up to 75 lbs
- ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, and days off
- flexibility to work additional hours on short notice due to operational necessity
- ability to perform duties in various weather conditions and time constraints
- ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English
- possess legal right to work in the United States
- pass fingerprint-based criminal background check if applicable
- secure relevant airport security badges including SIDA and US Customs if applicable
- must pass US Postal Service background check if handling US mail
- comply with Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing requirements if in a safety-sensitive position
- tattoos, body piercings and tongue rings must not be visible while in company uniform
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- minimum of one year of customer service experience preferred
- knowledge of airline ticketing systems and ramp operations is a plus
- strong organizational and leadership skills
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- capability to handle stressful and fast-paced environments
- self-motivated and safety conscious
- ability to perform multiple duties including both customer service and ramp operations
Job Duties
- Coordinate the day-to-day station operations by leading and organizing the activities of agents and clerks to ensure a safe working environment and on-time dependability
- ensure adequate operational coverage
- responsible for scheduling and manpower utilization
- maintain a safe, dependable and consistent operation
- conduct agent observations
- schedule and administer local training including new hire training
- investigate and resolve operational issues as well as customer service issues
- adhere to uniform policy and wear company uniforms
- participate on operational conference calls, station audits and prepare various reports
- maintain records such as time and attendance, personnel files and performance
- perform station agent work as required, including greeting passengers, managing ticketing and reservation software, guiding aircraft on the taxiway, handling baggage and cargo, operating ground equipment, collaborating with internal teams to ensure safe and on-time departures, cleaning aircraft interiors and lavatories, and tracking baggage in the baggage service office
