Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 18
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended state driver’s license
- Ability to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags weighing up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, days off, and additional hours on short notice
- Must be able to perform duties under various weather conditions and time constraints
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Pass fingerprint-based criminal background check if required
- Secure necessary airport and customs security badges if applicable
- Pass US Postal Service background check if handling mail
- Compliance with Department of Transportation regulations regarding drug and alcohol testing if applicable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum age of 18
- Possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended state driver’s license
- Ability to carry, bend, lift and turn with bags weighing up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, holidays, weekends, and days off
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand English
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Strong leadership qualities
- Experience in customer service is preferred
- Knowledge of airline ticketing systems and ramp operations is a plus
- Ability to handle stressful situations and multiple priorities
- Excellent judgment and initiative
Job Duties
- Coordinate the day-to-day station operations by leading and organizing the activities of agents/clerks to ensure a safe working environment and on-time dependability
- Ensure adequate operational coverage and be responsible for scheduling and manpower utilization
- Maintain a safe, dependable and consistent operation
- Conduct agent observations
- Schedule and administer local training including new hire training
- Investigate and resolve operational and customer service issues
- Adhere to uniform policy and wear company uniforms
- Participate on operational conference calls, station audits,and prepare various reports
- Maintain records such as time and attendance, personnel files and performance
- Perform station agent work as needed including combined ramp service and customer service duties
- Greet passengers and provide a seamless check-in and ticketing experience
- Use reservation/ticketing software to rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, and calculate fees
- Inform passengers about their trips and belongings
- Guide and direct aircraft on taxiways for safe and timely gate arrivals and departures
- Load, unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, cargo, freight, and company materials
- Operate ground equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, and bag carts
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure safe and on-time departures
- Clean aircraft interiors, service aircraft lavatories, and manage baggage service office duties
