Job Requirements
- Must be a resident of Illinois or Indiana
- Must not have been interviewed for the Supervisor Ramp position at MDW in the last 12 months and not selected
- U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and meet airport security requirements
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Must comply with the Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing program
- Availability to work shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move items weighing 70 pounds regularly and 40-50 pounds repetitively
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to use computers and office productivity tools
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Compliance with company attendance standards
- No current or future work authorization sponsorship available
- Able to obtain GSC qualification and possibly Customs Seal if required.

- Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and comply with DOT drug and alcohol testing
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and adhere to company attendance standards
- U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
Job Duties
- Model the Southwest Way by guiding and leading team members using Southwest Airlines talent management practices to coach, develop, and engage employees
- Adhere to company values and competencies to foster a culture of inclusion, recognition, and support of a safe work environment
- Invest in leadership and self-growth through continuous learning and development
- Coordinate with all departments to maintain on-time performance, employee morale, and customer satisfaction
- Monitor and guide ground support performance to ensure requirements are met
- Ensure all equipment including ground support equipment (GSE) is maintained and available for operations
- Oversee day-to-day airport operations to ensure a safe, secure, and legally compliant service-conscious environment
- Maintain a safe working environment and implement programs to reduce accidents and injuries
- Drive performance by forecasting operational situations, monitoring key metrics, and holding parties accountable
- Manage administrative duties such as shift bids, payroll, attendance reports, and staffing verification
- Assure proper administration of labor contracts to minimize labor disputes
- Perform duties as directed by leadership
- Report status updates consistently to leaders and employees
- Review and ensure accurate delay coding
- Work with staff planning to build bids aligned with hourly goals.
