Job Requirements

  • Residency in the state of California
  • U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Ability to comply with company attendance standards
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting 70 pounds, climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, and stooping
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per company standards
  • Must be able to obtain SIDA badge and meet airport security requirements
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Compliance with DOT drug and alcohol testing program
  • May be required to obtain Customs Seal for international flights

Job Qualifications

  • Broad knowledge of airline operations
  • Skilled in leadership and resource coordination
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Knowledge of safety, security, and compliance regulations
  • Experience with administrative and clerical procedures
  • Familiarity with Collective Bargaining Agreements
  • Ability to use office productivity tools
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to obtain SIDA badge and GSC qualification
  • Ability to work in various weather and noise conditions

Job Duties

  • Guide and lead team members using Southwest Airlines talent management practices to coach, develop, and engage employees
  • Adhere to company values and competencies to foster a culture of inclusion, recognition, and safe work environment
  • Actively coordinate with all departments to maintain the station's on-time performance, employee morale, and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and guide ground support performance to ensure requirements are met
  • Ensure all equipment including GSE is maintained and available for the operation
  • Oversee day-to-day airport operations to create a safe, secure, and legally compliant service-conscious environment
  • Perform administrative duties such as building shift bids, managing daily work assignments, payroll, and attendance reports
  • Review and ensure accurate delay coding
  • Drive performance processes by forecasting operational situations and monitoring key metrics
  • Assure proper administration of labor contracts with minimal labor disputes
  • May perform other job duties as directed by leadership
