Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in food production or supervision roles preferably in airline catering or hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of food safety standards including HACCP certification preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management systems
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Commitment to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards

Job Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of cold food production processes food safety standards and HACCP principles
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced high-volume environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • Skilled in monitoring production schedules labor efficiency and inventory control to ensure operational targets are met
  • Ability to identify and resolve operational issues quickly while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with frontline staff
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and production management systems
  • Knowledge of airline catering requirements and compliance with USDA FDA and local health regulations
  • Experience in coaching training and performance management of hourly employees
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with a hands-on approach to problem-solving

Job Duties

  • Supervise cold food production processes ensuring compliance with food safety standards HACCP protocols and airline requirements
  • Monitor labor inventory and production schedules to meet daily operational targets
  • Lead coach and develop frontline employees to maintain high performance and engagement
  • Ensure proper handling storage and labeling of food items in accordance with USDA and FDA regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments such as hot kitchen logistics quality assurance to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery
  • Conduct regular inspections of workstations and equipment to maintain cleanliness safety and functionality
  • Support onboarding and training of new employees reinforcing company policies and safety procedures
  • Identify and resolve operational issues quickly to minimize disruptions and maintain service quality
  • Maintain accurate records of production output waste and employee performance
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support Lean Manufacturing practices
