Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 23 years of age
  • Airframe and Powerplant license required
  • Completion of formal aircraft maintenance training for large turbine powered airplanes
  • Minimum of seven years of experience as an aircraft mechanic and or inspector for large, multi-engine jet aircraft
  • Minimum of five years of maintenance experience on the Bombardier Canadair Regional Jet 200 or Embraer 135 ER/LR, Embraer 145 LR, or Embraer Legacy 600 fleet types
  • Experience in airline day-to-day maintenance operations preferred
  • Ability to pass 10-year work history, criminal background, fingerprint checks
  • Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and FAA mandated random drug and alcohol tests
  • Authorized to work in the United States and able to travel internationally
  • Valid driver license and good driving record
  • Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Willing to accept base assignment in Smyrna/Nashville, TN

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 23 years of age

  • Experience in airline day-to-day maintenance operations preferred
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of aircraft systems, components, and methods
  • Understands OEM technical data manuals and how to quickly obtain needed information and procedures
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, inventory software, and tracking systems
  • Able to pass a 10-year work history review, criminal background, and fingerprint checks
  • Must pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and FAA random drug and alcohol tests
  • Authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the country
  • Valid driver license and good driving record

Job Duties

  • Monitor all MEL and deferred maintenance items coordinating the timely compliance with the Maintenance Planning Department
  • Monitor staffing levels and make recommendations on needed changes
  • Effectively schedule and coordinate internal support services such as avionics, sheet metal, NDT as required
  • Be responsible for training and retraining of Maintenance Controllers
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the Maintenance Controllers
  • Coordinate material and tooling requirements
  • Communicate timely and accurate maintenance statuses for the fleet of aircraft to various departments and leadership
  • Monitor safe work practices, environmental compliance, and proper housekeeping
  • Forecast and coordinate the scheduling of short-term maintenance requirements on Company operated or managed aircraft
  • Monitor maintenance performance of all scheduled aircraft operations
  • Coordinate with Dispatch concerning all maintenance irregularities that affect the dispatching of aircraft
  • Administer MEL, CDL, and NEF procedures as established in the Contour General Maintenance Manual
  • Coordinate with line maintenance, contract maintenance or on-call maintenance as necessary to ensure mechanical irregularities are corrected
  • Ensure data in pilot reports, ferry flights, SDR, delays and cancellations is recorded accurately into maintenance systems
  • Confirm all work on Company aircraft is accomplished by qualified personnel
  • Ensure On-the-Job Training is conducted and documented for Maintenance Controllers
  • Perform additional tasks as specified in the CASS and Reliability section of the Corporate Flight Management General Maintenance Manual
  • Suggest changes to the Company Manual Systems as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
