Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 23 years of age
  • Airframe and Powerplant license required
  • Completion of formal aircraft maintenance training for large turbine powered airplanes
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as an aircraft mechanic and/or inspector for large multi-engine jet aircraft
  • Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience on the (Bombardier Canadair Regional Jet 200 (CRJ) fleet type) or (Embraer 135 ER/LR Embraer 145 LR or Embraer Legacy 600)
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to pass a required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks
  • Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests
  • Authorized by law to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States
  • Must have a valid driver license and a good driving record
  • Willing to accept base assignment in Smyrna/Nashville TN area
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA EPA state and federal regulations
  • Ability to work a varying schedule including nights weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 23 years of age

  • Experience in airline day-to-day maintenance operations preferred
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of aircraft systems components and methods
  • Understands OEM technical data manuals and how to quickly obtain needed information and procedures
  • Must have experience and be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel Word Outlook inventory software and tracking systems
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset
  • Possess strong leadership interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Must have well-developed people skills and the ability to work with a variety of personalities
  • Maintain strong attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Monitor all MEL and deferred maintenance items coordinating the timely compliance with the Maintenance Planning Department
  • Monitor staffing levels and make recommendations on needed changes
  • Effective scheduling and coordination of internal support services (avionics sheet metal NDT etc) as required
  • Be responsible for training/retraining of Maintenance Controllers
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the Maintenance Controllers
  • Coordinate material and tooling requirements
  • Communicate to various departments and leadership timely and accurate maintenance statuses for the fleet of aircraft
  • Monitor safe work practices environmental compliance and proper housekeeping
  • Forecast and coordinate the scheduling of short-term maintenance requirements on Company operated or managed aircraft
  • Monitors maintenance performance of all scheduled aircraft operations
  • Coordinates with Dispatch concerning all maintenance irregularities that affect the dispatching of aircraft
  • Responsible for the proper administration of MEL/CDL/NEF procedures as established in the Contour General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
  • Coordinates with line maintenance contract maintenance or on-call maintenance as necessary to ensure mechanical irregularities are corrected in accordance with the procedures established in the Corporate Flight Management General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
  • Ensures data in the pilot reports ferry flights SDR delays and cancellations etc is recorded accurately into the applicable maintenance system (FOS Veryon etc)
  • Confirms all work performed on Company aircraft is accomplished by qualified authorized and approved personnel
  • Ensures On-the-Job Training (OJT) is conducted and documented for Maintenance Controllers
  • Performs additional tasks as specified in the CASS/Reliability section of the Corporate Flight Management General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
  • Suggest changes to the Company Manual Systems as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership
