Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Zero to one year of experience in public area cleaning
- Knowledge of CDC cleaning guidelines
- Ability to read and follow instructions
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work under frequent time pressure

Job Duties
- Attend daily staff meetings to receive daily work assignments and communicate pertinent information
- Ensure all common areas are clean, stocked, in working order
- Ensure all Housekeeping storage closets are cleaned and stocked
- Determine areas in need of additional cleaning, and repairs
- Ensure tasks get completed thoroughly, efficiently and effectively
- Use discretion to assign re-dos or complete tasks
- Check employees have necessary supplies, equipment and tools
- Handle guest or maintenance requests and follow up
- Uphold standards of cleanliness, safety, and conduct
- Provide leadership to staff
- Make impartial decisions involving Guests and Team Members
- Motivate team members for consistent productivity
- Accountable for equipment assigned to their area
- Inspect assigned areas for cleanliness and repairs
- Assist with deep cleaning projects
- Work with other departments to maintain a pleasant and safe environment
- Request assistance from maintenance for tasks and repairs
- Assist with training, retaining, developing, scheduling and reviewing housekeeping staff
- Ensure all housekeeping staff is knowledgeable in cleaning product and equipment use
- Answer radio calls
- Know all special events and promotional activities
- Open the office daily and submit checklists
- Delegate, supervise and check housekeeping employees’ work
- Resolve problems and address requests
- Coach team members for performance improvement
- Establish and reinforce company policies and procedures
- Monitor staff performance and oversee tracking systems
- Wear proper uniform
- Keep records of staff performance issues
- Assist Executive Housekeeper with day to day operations
- Assist with weekly inventory counts and maintaining par levels
- Input maintenance issues into company software
- Maintain Safety Data Sheet manuals and enforce chemical labeling and dispensing
