Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of relevant experience in high volume restaurant, hospital, or institutional food service
- Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM) certification upon hire or within 30 days
- Strong leadership skills
- Effective communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Positive customer service skills
- Ability to make decisions in fast-paced environments
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree in food service management, dietetics, culinary or hospitality management preferred
- 2 years of relevant experience in high volume restaurant, hospital, or institutional food service
- Microsoft Office experience preferred
- Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM) certification obtained upon hire or within 30 days
- Strong leadership and effective communication skills
- Good organizational skills
- Positive customer service skills
- Ability to make decisions in fast-paced environments
Job Duties
- Manages personnel including coaching, training, mentoring, counseling, scheduling, and evaluating employees
- Assists staff with information management/processing such as benefit enrollment, surveys, assessments
- Monitors department compliance with food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP guidelines
- Educates staff on hygiene and patient identification protocols
- Makes independent decisions affecting daily operations, staffing, and departmental projects
- Communicates initiatives with other leaders
- Leads team efforts to control budget costs and improve efficiencies
- Processes required documents and requests for maintenance, information services, and environmental services
- Responds to email requests and other communications professionally and promptly
- Leads initiatives to improve patient and customer satisfaction
- Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Director
