Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of relevant experience in high volume restaurant, hospital, or institutional food service
  • Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM) certification upon hire or within 30 days
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Positive customer service skills
  • Ability to make decisions in fast-paced environments

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree in food service management, dietetics, culinary or hospitality management preferred
  • 2 years of relevant experience in high volume restaurant, hospital, or institutional food service
  • Microsoft Office experience preferred
  • Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM) certification obtained upon hire or within 30 days
  • Strong leadership and effective communication skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Positive customer service skills
  • Ability to make decisions in fast-paced environments

Job Duties

  • Manages personnel including coaching, training, mentoring, counseling, scheduling, and evaluating employees
  • Assists staff with information management/processing such as benefit enrollment, surveys, assessments
  • Monitors department compliance with food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP guidelines
  • Educates staff on hygiene and patient identification protocols
  • Makes independent decisions affecting daily operations, staffing, and departmental projects
  • Communicates initiatives with other leaders
  • Leads team efforts to control budget costs and improve efficiencies
  • Processes required documents and requests for maintenance, information services, and environmental services
  • Responds to email requests and other communications professionally and promptly
  • Leads initiatives to improve patient and customer satisfaction
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Director
