Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of relevant experience in high volume restaurant, hospital, or other institution
  • Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM) certification upon hire or within 30 days

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • associate’s degree in food service management, dietetics, culinary, or hospitality management preferred
  • 2 years of relevant experience in high volume restaurant, hospital, or other institution
  • Microsoft Office experience preferred
  • Certified Food Safety Manager (CFSM) certification required upon hire or within 30 days

Job Duties

  • Manages personnel coaches, trains, mentors, counsels, schedules, and evaluates employees and makes recommendations in the hiring and terminating of employees
  • assists staff with information management and processing such as My Talent, benefit enrollment, surveys, assessments
  • monitors department areas for compliance with department and TDH food safety and sanitation standards
  • educates staff on HACCP standards and monitors staff on hand hygiene and patient ID when delivering items into patient rooms
  • makes independent decisions affecting daily operations, staffing, and projects
  • communicates initiatives with other leaders
  • leads team efforts to control budget costs and maintain or improve efficiencies
  • processes required documents and requests for maintenance, information services, and environmental services
  • processes and responds to e-mail and other communication professionally and timely
  • leads team efforts to improve patient and customer satisfaction
  • performs other job duties as assigned by the Manager or Director
