Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Serve Safe Certification
  • Two years beyond high school in culinary arts or equivalent education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible work experience

  • Minimum of 5 years progressively responsible work experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and phone manners
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic for recipe preparation
  • Creative skills for preparing and presenting fine foods
  • Understanding of modified and special diets
  • Knowledge of recipes and portioning guidelines for nutritional care

Job Duties

  • Act as liaison to departments and areas to assure expedient response to patient and customer concerns
  • Train, educate and develop staff to equip them with basic skills for good customer service and job duties
  • Supervise activities of personnel including interviewing, hiring, orienting, training, coaching, evaluating, and terminating employees
  • Communicate expectations to staff and monitor and review staff performance regularly
  • Develop and implement personal development programs for continuing professional growth
  • Develop hours of operations and necessary staffing models
  • Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with departmental quality standards
