- Serve Safe Certification
- Two years beyond high school in culinary arts or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible work experience

- Strong interpersonal skills and phone manners
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic for recipe preparation
- Creative skills for preparing and presenting fine foods
- Understanding of modified and special diets
- Knowledge of recipes and portioning guidelines for nutritional care
Job Duties
- Act as liaison to departments and areas to assure expedient response to patient and customer concerns
- Train, educate and develop staff to equip them with basic skills for good customer service and job duties
- Supervise activities of personnel including interviewing, hiring, orienting, training, coaching, evaluating, and terminating employees
- Communicate expectations to staff and monitor and review staff performance regularly
- Develop and implement personal development programs for continuing professional growth
- Develop hours of operations and necessary staffing models
- Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with departmental quality standards
