Job Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain valid Food Manager Certification or ServSafe certification
  • must have associates degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum one year supervisory or group lead experience in Food and Nutrition
  • technical competence in food service, food handling or nutrition
  • ability to manage and coach team members
  • strong communication and organizational skills
  • must comply with safety and infection control practices
  • punctual attendance
  • ability to complete audits and corrective actions
  • must support organizational policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent
  • four years of directly related work experience may substitute for associate degree
  • technical competence in food service, food handling or nutrition
  • valid Food Manager Certification from Florida Department of Health approved provider or ServSafe certification from National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation accredited by ANSI-CFP
  • one year supervisory or group lead experience in Food and Nutrition

Job Duties

  • Assists in controlling expenses within area of responsibility
  • assists the Manager of Support Services or Operations Manager in attaining the financial goals for area
  • responsible for accuracy and timelines of reports, financial data and statistics
  • responsible for productivity and staffing that is appropriate to area
  • demonstrates and promotes the organization’s culture, values, and commitment to exemplary patient experience
  • conducts personal daily rounds, signing inspection reports and responding promptly, safely, and efficiently to all service or customer requests
  • assures adequate staff and supplies to meet customers’ expectations
  • promotes teamwork within assigned process or department and within the organization
  • coaches and counsels associates as needed providing continuous feedback on performance
  • maximizes customer and guest satisfaction
  • responsible to see all work assignments are completed properly, safely and completely within allotted time
  • completes departmental Environment of Care (EOC) audits and corrective action in timely manner
  • complies with safety and infection control practices
  • assists with revising and implementing policies and procedures to meet licensing agency requirements
  • supports all policies, procedures, goals and objectives of the hospital
  • assists with cross-functional and technical training programs
  • communicates openly and freely with associates
  • manages various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling
  • maintains regular, punctual attendance consistent with policies and regulations
  • maintains compliance with all organizational policies and procedures
