Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Nutrition, Hospitality, or related field or equivalent experience
  • minimum two years experience in food service environment
  • minimum one year supervisory experience in healthcare environment preferred
  • current ServSafe certificate
  • current driver's license
  • ability to use computer software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • ability to operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment
  • ability to work under pressure and collaborate
  • ability to think critically, manage multiple assignments, and prioritize workload
  • ability to distinguish colors, hear and see adequately for the job

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Nutrition, Hospitality, or related field preferred
  • minimum two years experience in food service environment
  • minimum one year supervisory experience in healthcare environment preferred
  • knowledge of inventory control
  • computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently
  • preferred certifications include Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR), Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Culinary Degree, Nutrition Degree, or Dietary Services Supervisor Certification (DSS)
  • current ServSafe certificate

Job Duties

  • Supervise employees in cafeteria, production, patient meal service, tray line, dish room, catering, and diet offices as appropriate
  • assure food production, food service, and diet office operations follow established policies and procedures
  • monitor timeliness and accuracy of menu selection
  • ensure quality of food and adherence to sanitation and safety procedures
  • provide supervision to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • assist with employee performance evaluations and human resource functions
  • manage time and attendance and staff scheduling
  • perform other duties as assigned
