Job Requirements

  • FAA-certificated mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
  • minimum 3 years previous line maintenance experience
  • previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • excellent knowledge of maintenance policies and procedures
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to lead and motivate personnel
  • capable of managing multiple tasks effectively
  • computer proficiency

  • flexibility to work varying schedules including graveyard shifts
  • ability to work 40+ hours per week
  • ability to work in elevated noise environments

Job Qualifications

  • FAA-certificated mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings

Job Duties

  • Oversee line maintenance operations and supervise line maintenance personnel
  • manage, monitor and coordinate safety management system activities
  • coordinate the development, implementation, and integration of SMS throughout Frontier
  • identify hazards and conduct safety risk assessments including change management
  • ensure effectiveness of safety risk controls
  • promote safety
  • advise the accountable executive on SMS performance and improvement needs
  • manage risk acceptable levels according to company risk matrix
  • remove inoperative equipment from use and facilitate repair or replacement
  • monitor maintenance activities to ensure quality and safety standards
  • determine work priorities on shifts
  • supervise maintenance on company and contract aircraft
  • provide timely and accurate aircraft status updates
  • determine job standards and test personnel productivity, safety habits, and workmanship
  • review and evaluate maintenance performance and administer corrective actions
  • assist in policy formulation and budget administration
  • assist with monthly/quarterly shelf life audits
  • ensure maintenance tools and equipment meet safety standards
  • conduct tool investigations and complete reports
  • perform computer and administrative functions
  • identify operational improvements and communicate to management
  • ensure adherence to security regulations
  • perform shift turnover as required
  • audit and monitor proper completion of aircraft records
  • ensure accuracy and completeness of work documents and records
  • make FMIS entries
  • ensure personnel training and qualification
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • always follow approved published procedures unless proper deviation authorized
