Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • One to two years of experience in a related kitchen supervision or culinary position
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work standing for long periods
  • Ability to lift, push, pull and carry items frequently
  • Ability to bend knees and maintain mobility across the kitchen
  • Moderate hearing and excellent vision for safety
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze written and verbal information

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Experience of one to two years in a related kitchen supervisory or culinary role
  • Advanced knowledge of food preparation principles and practices
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food and beverage management
  • Excellent vision and hearing for safety and quality control
  • Moderate comprehension and literacy skills for reading, writing, and budget analysis

Job Duties

  • Supervise the daily production, preparation and presentation of all food for the kitchen to ensure a quality, consistent product is produced which conforms to all franchise standards
  • Supervise human resources in the production and preparation areas of the kitchen in order to attract, retain and motivate the employees while providing a safe work environment
  • Train, develop, empower, coach and counsel staff
  • Recommend discipline and termination as appropriate
  • Schedule and supervise the maintenance/sanitation of the kitchen, equipment and related areas to ensure a healthy, safe work environment which meets/exceeds federal, state, corporate and franchise standards and regulations
  • Assist in monitoring and control all labor and food costs
  • Promote the Accident Prevention Program to minimize liabilities and related expenses
