Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- One to two years of experience in a related kitchen supervision or culinary position
- Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work standing for long periods
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry items frequently
- Ability to bend knees and maintain mobility across the kitchen
- Moderate hearing and excellent vision for safety
- Ability to comprehend and analyze written and verbal information
Job Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- Experience of one to two years in a related kitchen supervisory or culinary role
- Advanced knowledge of food preparation principles and practices
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food and beverage management
- Excellent vision and hearing for safety and quality control
- Moderate comprehension and literacy skills for reading, writing, and budget analysis
Job Duties
- Supervise the daily production, preparation and presentation of all food for the kitchen to ensure a quality, consistent product is produced which conforms to all franchise standards
- Supervise human resources in the production and preparation areas of the kitchen in order to attract, retain and motivate the employees while providing a safe work environment
- Train, develop, empower, coach and counsel staff
- Recommend discipline and termination as appropriate
- Schedule and supervise the maintenance/sanitation of the kitchen, equipment and related areas to ensure a healthy, safe work environment which meets/exceeds federal, state, corporate and franchise standards and regulations
- Assist in monitoring and control all labor and food costs
- Promote the Accident Prevention Program to minimize liabilities and related expenses
