Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • One year of related experience in hotel or casino environment
  • Possession and maintenance of applicable regional gaming license(s)
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to read and write simple business communications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Suite
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations
  • Ability to stand and be mobile for extended periods
  • Ability to perform housekeeping and front desk duties
  • Ability to observe and detect emergency situations
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • One-year related experience in a hotel/casino environment or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must possess and maintain the applicable regional gaming card(s) and/or License(s)
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English
  • Must be able to read and write simple lists, interoffice memorandums, and business correspondence
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Suite products
  • Strong planning and decision-making skills
  • Ability to remember details and discriminate colors
  • Ability to concentrate amid distractions
  • Ability to remember names and faces
  • Ability to examine and observe details

Job Duties

  • Review and maintain up to date on policies and procedures of the front desk
  • Oversees Call Center and Call Center staff
  • Counsel, develop and discipline employees in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Ensure proper staffing levels daily
  • Monitor and maximize occupancy and average daily rate
  • Ensure all assignments are completed in an efficient and timely manner
  • Handle and resolve guest complaints and concerns
  • Coordinate breaks for assigned staff
  • Prepare and distribute assignment sheets to assigned staff and review priorities
  • Maintain accurate record of keys and ensure security
  • Inspect supply levels of floor closets
  • Check rooms cleaned by Housekeeping staff using designated checklist
  • Update room status after approving cleanliness and condition
  • Inspect public areas and relay deficiencies for correction
  • Conduct training of staff as assigned
  • Provide feedback on staff performance to manager
  • Report disciplinary problems to manager and participate in counseling
  • Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving
  • Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with manager
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff
  • Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome
  • Use a positive and clear speaking voice and provide accurate information
  • Complete the registration process and promote hotel marketing programs
  • Make appropriate selection of rooms based on guest needs and code electronic keys
  • Close out guest accounts at time of check out
  • Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization
  • Handle cash and balance assigned house bank
  • Promptly answer telephone and input messages into the computer
  • Retrieve mail, packages and facsimiles for customers as requested
  • Remain calm and alert during emergencies
  • Resolve customer complaints by conducting thorough research and determine effective solutions
  • Make decisions and act based on good judgment
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
  • Must be able to work as part of a team
  • Additional duties as assigned
