Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ServSafe certification
  • TIPS certification
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to train and supervise staff
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must maintain professionalism and uphold company policies

Job Duties

  • Consults with the Food and Beverage Manager about serving arrangements and additional associates and equipment needed for Bistro
  • Mainly works mornings to support the AM team and scheduled during busy times or when the Food and Beverage Manager is off
  • Covers bistro shifts if needed, short staffed, or in an emergency
  • Assists with training for bistro staff
  • Enforces and upholds health department and Marriott policies and standards
  • Responsible for overall restaurant cleanliness and maintaining the grotto standards and cleanliness
  • Maintains bookings for the Gallery/Open Table ensuring all bookings have the necessary details
  • Ensures that all associates act professionally and respectfully at all times
  • Directs associates to maintain a professional level of guest service
  • Assists with scheduling for the Bistro
  • Attends department meetings in the Food and Beverage Manager’s absence
  • Enforces the hotel's green policies
  • Assists with handling and documenting employee issues
  • Aids in meeting and exceeding Food and Beverage financial goals
  • Assists with Bistro inventory and orders
  • Helps meet and exceed Food and Beverage Guest Voice goals while responding to reviews
  • Maintains positive working relationships with other departments
