Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum four years of experience in food service
  • Must obtain Food Protection Manager certification within 60 days of hire
  • Ability to follow established HR policies and procedures
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • Capability to manage cash reconciliation and transactions

Job Qualifications

  • Four years in a food service role
  • Within 60 days of hire, obtain Food Protection Manager certification from an approved agency
  • Associate's degree in related field preferred
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Management experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist in hiring, evaluating, coaching, promoting and disciplining employees by following established HR policies
  • Direct daily work flow of department to maintain productivity and ensure time schedules are met
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards according to departmental and regulatory agency requirements
  • Monitor quality and attractiveness of food served to patients and/or cafeteria and special functions, respond to and resolve customer/patient issues
  • Reconcile money, compute transactions, replenish cash, and bank daily receipts
  • Assist in cafeteria menu and special event planning and execution
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
