Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • three years of food and nutrition service experience
  • two years of supervisory experience in nutrition and food service
  • knowledge of food trends emphasizing quality, sanitation, and food cost controls
  • experience with therapeutic diet preparation
  • strong leadership, management and mentoring skills
  • knowledge of applicable health and safety standards
  • effective written and verbal communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • associate or college degree in nutrition, food service management or related field preferred
  • bachelor’s degree in nutrition, food service management or related field preferred
  • certified dietary manager (CDM) preferred
  • three years of food and nutrition service experience required
  • two years of supervisory experience in nutrition and food service
  • knowledge of food trends focusing on quality, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • experience with therapeutic diet preparation
  • strong leadership and management skills
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Plan and lead all aspects of food service operations
  • supervise food production and service
  • ensure food served is nutritious and appealing
  • supervise and mentor food service staff
  • review and update policies and procedures
  • implement and maintain quality and cost control procedures
  • maintain professional proficiency and skills required for professional practice
